Title: Disney
Date Created: 5/28/17
Media Used: Clay
Artist Statement: For my sculpture, my music theme was Disney music. I combined different Disney stories to make my sculpture. The apple is for Snow White, the crown was for all the princes and princesses in Disney, the book was for Belle, the needle was for sleeping beauty, and the wand was for Cinderella. The holes where the sound comes out from are shaped like a Mickey Mouse head because Mickey is from Disney, and I added vines to go with the forest and Snow White.
Step By Step: First I made my two pinch pots. Then I scored and put the two pots together. After that I shaped the pots to look more like and apple. Then I cut out the hole for the phone and the two holes shaped like Mickey for the sound to come out from. Next I added the stem and the leaf on the apple. Then I added the book at the bottom and the vines around the apple. After that I added the needle, wand, and crown to my sculpture. Then I dried and fired it. After it was fired I glazed it and then fired it again.
